The Toshiba UX series of UNIX servers included models supplied by Sun Microsystems under an OEM agreement and models developed by Toshiba using technology licensed from Sun Microsystems.
The UX3000, the UX5000, and the UX7000 series were OEM models, and the UX1000, the UX2000, and the UX2000i included licensed technology. Later on, the OEM models were assimilated into the UX7000 series and the licensed models into the UX2000i.
