The Anelex Corporation conducted a model change on the 4 Series which became the H-333 and H-335, and developed the 5 Series, which was the world's fastest with a printing speed of 1250line/min.
The H-8245 and H-8246 were developed and announced in 1965, taking this 5 Series as a model.
The system was redesigned to enable printing of kana letters by changing the type drum diameter from 3inch to 6inch. These printers were connected to the HITAC8000 Series processing unit.
In 1970, there were minor changes for use with the Phase II 8000 Series, and production continued until 1977.
