The monitor adopted a batch processing method based on a magnetic tape with a control card system, and consisted of a compile monitor, an execution monitor and a conversion/editing monitor under the surveillance of the parent monitor.
This moniotr system was designed as a spool processing system using the principle of multiprogramming. The conversion/editing monitor haved a special feature that using a magnetic tape as temporarily stored device an execution result with the compilation result were outputted to a line printer or card punch.
