The PD 1516 Parametron Computer had 16 15-digit decimal registers, and was developed in October 1956 through a joint effort by the University of Tokyo and Nihon Denshi Sokuki. The Parametron Computer Development Group of Nihon Denshi Sokuki was absorbed by Fuji Communications Equipment Manufacturing (currently Fujitsu) in 1957.
