This machine featured pen-touch kana-kanji phrase conversion, and a single-line 41-character liquid crystal screen. Originally, the dictionary was stored on hard disk, but conversion speed was improved by switching to ROM. The standard price was ¥1,198,000 -- an accessible price for professional users outside of corporations -- and this model provided a foothold for dissemination into the personal market.
