Hitachi announced the H-6254 continuous-form page printer in June 2000 as the replacement to the previous H-6274 model. The H-6254 had approximately 13 percent better print performance than the H-6274, with a top print speed of 3,400 lines per minute. It could be installed in offices because of its compact design, requiring 44 percent less installation space than the previous model.
