Foundation for Computational Science (FOCUS) was established in 2008. FOCUS Computational Science Research Support Center arranged a display room open to the public to help visitors understanding supercomputers and their applications. History of supercomputing and the examples of recent development and applications are introduced there. Images generated to demonstrate simulations by supercomputers are also available.

The display room exhibits boards and a cabinet of Japanese supercomputers Numerical Wind Tunnel (NWT), CP-PACS and Earth Simulator that recorded the world fastest speed before. It also displays the panels introducing K computer which was the top of Top500 list in 2011.

The display room is suitable to study supercomputers and their history as the location is next to the building of K computer and many kinds of information are available about business and events related K computer and other supercomputers, thus contributing to the promotion of supercomputer business applications, education and popularization.
